Why did indó decide to offer overdrafts instead of other types of loans?

We decided to offer overdrafts first for several reasons, including:

  • It is technically more easy to provide this additional service to the debit accounts that indó customers already have.
  • Overdrafts are a common and well-known type of loan. However, we saw an opportunity to offer a better overdraft, such as providing better terms for those who create a plan to reduce it. We think it is important not to introduce a new type of loan with a new name to only make things look better: an overdraft is an expensive loan and should be a temporary solution.
  • Our indóans requested it - many want to transfer their overdrafts from other banks to indó.
  • We thought the overdraft would be the simplest loan for us to start with from a structural and operational perspective.
