Why is there a fee for the physical card?

It is, of course, always good to have a physical card handy, especially in parts of the world where phone payments aren't accepted. You can certainly still get a physical card from us, but the reality is that there is always a cost associated with physical cards.

It costs money to produce, package, and ship the card to your home. Additionally, the production, packaging, and shipping process is not environmentally friendly. It is also an unnecessary waste and expense to have a plastic card shipped if you primarily use the digital indó card on your phone.

That is why adding the card to your phone or watch is free, while the 1,200 kr. fee for the physical card covers production and shipping costs.

If you decide to skip the physical card for now but want to get one later (for example, for your next trip abroad), ordering one is easy.

All you need to do to order a physical card is:

• Open the indó app.

• Select "Card" ("Kort") at the bottom center.

• Tap "Order new card" ("Panta nýtt kort") in the top right corner.

• From there, you can choose the design you like best (pink or green) and have it delivered to your door within 7-10 business days. You will then receive a claim in your indó app to pay for the card.
